Housing is more than just a roof—it's the foundation for a successful reentry. For those coming out of prison, a safe and stable home is the key to rebuilding and moving forward with purpose.

Why the Embrace Home Housing Initiative Works with Re-entry

The right housing does more than just provide shelter—it leads to real, tangible improvements in people’s lives, like: 

  • Less risk of going back to prison 

  • Reduced incidence of substance abuse 

  • Better chances of finding and keeping a job 

  • Improved mental and physical health

Comprehensive Support Services 

The Embrace Home Housing initiative includes additional support services and partnerships with local resources to provide the following for returning citizens:

​

  • Job Placement and Skills Training: Helping individuals build resumes, prepare for interviews, and secure employment to become financially independent. 

  • Mental Health Support: Offering therapy and counseling services to help address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. 

  • Life Skills Coaching: Teaching budgeting, time management, and conflict resolution to help individuals navigate life outside of prison. 

  • Family Reunification Support: Assisting individuals in rebuilding relationships with their families through mediation, parenting classes, and communication skills.
