Embrace Home Housing is a supportive housing initiative in Hampton Roads, Virginia.  In a safe, clean, and drug- and alcohol-free environment, members uplift one another, taking on shared responsibilities and fostering a sense of unity and empowerment.

There is no external authority—members collectively manage the house, creating a space of mutual respect and accountability. Residents are welcome to stay as long as they maintain their commitment to sobriety, contribute to the household, and uphold the values of harmony and cooperation.

This proven model, rooted in evidence-based practices, delivers unmatched results in the transitional housing sector. Embrace Home House empowers members to develop leadership skills, cultivate self-efficacy, and rediscover the values of responsibility and community, paving the way for lasting personal transformation!

How It Works

  • Careful screening of candidates occurs to ensure the available housing supports those ready to embrace positive change.

  • An assessment of financial stability is conducted and referrals made, if needed. 

 

The housing, offered at a reasonable monthly rate, provides a secure foundation for growth and renewal. This time of affordable housing allows individuals to:

  • Stabilize their lives

  • Seek meaningful employment opportunities

  • Build and repair credit

  • Improve mental health

  • Save funds for a brighter future

 

Connections with with case workers, social workers, nonprofits, discharge planners are integral to ensure the community's needs are met!
